Attending high school in New Jersey, Tamara Dadd Alan grew up with the New York Giants. Literally. At various times during the football season, one or two of the players would live with her family. In fact, during a visit to the University of Alabama with one of those players during her senior year, former Giants Head Coach and Crimson Tide Head Coach at the time Ray Perkins, invited her to attend the University and join the prestigious Alabama Belles, the athletic hostesses for the team. After college and then law school at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, Tamara worked for several years as a successful entertainment attorney, record label owner and artist rep, licensed in California and Tennessee. In 2010, upon learning of her college classmate’s diagnosis, Tamara co-founded The Kevin Turner Foundation, to focus on the connection between ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and repeated brain trauma in pro athletes. Suddenly, she was back immersed in the world of football only this time her focus was on making the game more safe. Tamara also worked extensively with former Bears Coach Mike Ditka on various initiatives for former players and hosted the Ditka Jaws Cigars with the Stars event held annually at the Super Bowl. It is through her many relationships forged through football that she was approached about leading the Nashville Kats franchise.
